GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Online Onboarding Specialist (OOS) primary role is to ensure that the potential online student will be able to complete the enrollment and other online onboarding processes smoothly, accurately, consistently and in a timely manner in accordance to the college, state, federal and accrediting agencies requirements. Meets and guides the potential student/applicants during the admissions process and works with admissions, financial aid, student services, registrar, academic, and other administrative departments to guide the student/applicant through the various onboarding processes.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Directly Reports to Director of Online Education
  • Indirectly Reports to the LMS Manager.
  • Indirectly Reports and collaborates closely with the Director of Student Services
  • Meets with student during the admissions process and works with admissions and with the applicant/student to get through the admissions and enrollment process.
  • Ensures that students get access to the financial aid department.
  • Works with Enrollment Coordinator to ensure all admissions requirements and documents are submitted and on file.
  • Helps students address any technical issues made apparent during the Smarter Measures assessment and remediation is provided, if appropriate.
  • Ensures that student gets technology requirement met; works with IT Help Desk to address issues.
  • Works with the students to make sure they are prepared for the online orientation process.
  • Helps students navigate the required technology orientation
  • Works with campus bookstore to ensure all required learning materials such as textbooks are available, if appropriate.
  • Works with the registrar to ensure that scheduling process is completed.
  • Ensures that the student experience from onboarding to start of class is smooth.
  • Assigns other duties as needed.
Requirements:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Computer experience with Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of Canvas LMS • Must be detail-oriented and extremely accurate.
  • Utilize time wisely • Quick follow up. • Must work well in a team-based environment with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to type accurately.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent time management.
  • Responds to inquiry and communicates responsibly in a timely fashion.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associate's degree as a minimum.
  • 2 years' work experience in customer relations.

Compensation details: 45000-50000 Yearly Salary
