The Inventory and Procurement Specialist accurately purchases, receives, stores, and issues materials, equipment, and other items to/from the local stock room in accordance with established process and procedures to ensure effective allocation and tracking of inventory and reordering to ensure that stocked items are properly available when needed. This position timely and accurately records purchase and receiving information in the accounting system per established procedure and produces and compiles stock reports.

Pay Range - $20 - $25 / HR DOE


Responsibilities
  • Reviews email immediately upon reporting to assigned shift. Prints a copy of all orders & requests received and confirms that the order request for the day has been completed correctly.
  • Prepares & sends POs to vendors & subcontractors and processes their invoices for payment.
  • Add labor hours & parts to installation and service projects and closes them for reconciliation/billing.
  • Coordinates service for the company vans and registration renewals.
  • Delivers parts to job sites as needed.
  • Receives and counts received items, verifies received amounts to purchase orders, and records data per established procedure. Packs and unpacks items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms. Warehouses, or storage yards.
  • Distributes supplies, materials, parts and equipment based on incoming requests and orders. Pre-kits parts for future installations.
  • Initiates orders to replenish supply inventory used and follows up with vendors to ensure timely delivery of items.
  • Verifies inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, and investigates discrepancies or adjusts errors. Supports company-wide periodic physical inventory counts.
  • Stores items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas.
  • Marks stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment per established procedure.
  • Prepares shipping documents for shipping of materials; prepares and packs materials to reduce risk of damage and ensure the safe delivery of items.
  • Delivers properly received items to other areas within Kastle offices as required.
  • Cleans and maintains supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Determines proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities.
  • Keeps records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment.
  • Examines and inspects stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage found to supervisor.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, GED, or 2 or more years of applicable experience.
  • Ability to perform detailed work, being careful about detail and being thorough in completing task.
  • Ability to cooperate, being pleasant with others and on the job and displaying a good-natured, supportive attitude.
  • Ability to prioritize information and arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to established procedure.
  • Ability to lift and move boxes and unpack and store equipment and supplies up to 75 lbs.
  • Ability to use public transportation to bring parts to installation sites as needed.
  • Demonstrated strong service orientation, understanding and helpfulness to others as well as actively seeking ways to be helpful.
  • Effective speaking and active listening skills, conveying information effective and giving full attention and taking time to understand what others are saying.
  • Exceptionally high level of honesty and integrity.
  • Must be able to physically and mentally capable of functioning effectively with moderate to high levels of stress in a demanding and dynamic environment.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
