Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Communications Specialist - Social Media Content Creator.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Social Media Content Creator.
This role involves a dynamic blend of content creation, content publishing, and community management. You will be responsible for receiving and interpreting social content requests from stakeholders, tailoring strategies to specific channels, creating compelling copy and visuals, publishing content, as well as community management across our various social platforms.
Reporting directly to the Social Media Content Lead, this position plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing the social media strategy for NYULH.

Job Responsibilities:

Content Creation

    • Collaborate with stakeholders to intake and interpret requests for social content
    • Work with Social Media Content Lead to develop and maintain a social media content calendar
    • Create engaging and platform-specific content, including copy, video, and visuals, that resonates with relevant target audiences
    • Ensure content consistency in terms of style, quality, and tone of voice across all channels
    • Stay updated with the latest in content creation tools and social media trends to enhance content quality and engagement
    • Leverage audience insights and performance metrics to support development of audience growth strategies

Community Management

    • Actively manage community interactions by responding to comments, messages, and posts in a timely and professional manner, and in accordance with community management guidelines
    • Foster a positive community environment and encourage active engagement by initiating conversations and participating in discussions
    • Collaborate with third party social listening vendor to monitor social media brand mentions and work with them on when and how to respond to different comments or mentions

Content Publishing and Scheduling

    • Schedule and publish content across various social media platforms using content management systems and scheduling tools (like Sprout)
    • Optimize posting schedules based on analytics to maximize content reach and engagement
    • QA content for accuracy and platform specifications prior to publishing
    • Continuously monitor and adjust publishing strategies based on content performance and audience feedback

Analytics and Reporting

    • Regularly track and analyze the performance of social media content using analytics tools (like Sprout) as well as partnering with NYULH Analytics team to gauge effectiveness and identify areas for improvement
    • Prepare and present detailed reports on campaign performance, insights, and learnings to stakeholders and senior management
    • Use data-driven insights to drive engagement on future posts

Collaboration and Coordination

    • Participate in brainstorming sessions and strategy meetings to contribute creative ideas and insights
    • Lead content review and approval process to collect necessary feedback / approvals from relevant stakeholders

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2 years of relevant experience in social media management, content creation, or a similar role
  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field
  • Strong writing and visual content creation skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Proficiency in social media platforms (LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok), channel specific scheduling tools, and social analytics software
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Creative thinker with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the healthcare industry

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $67,771.14 - $95,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
