About the Role
In this role, the Client Associate is a key team player, partnering to sell integrated media solutions and partnerships to large Financial Services clients. This position supports designated Client Partners/Associate Client Partners to prepare proposals, maintain excellent client relations, generate prospect opportunities/leads, regularly update competitive analysis, and support their CP/ACP in all sales to the Financial Services clients to achieve/exceed quarterly revenue goals.
Client Associates will be exposed to selling market-leading solutions and partnerships across the Dow Jones portfolio, custom content, conferences, digital, audio, video, and print.
You Will:
  • Supports all aspects of the sales activities of designated Client Partners
  • Project management: tracking of print insertions, high-impact digital executions, newsletters, and custom media activations
  • Direct communication and follow-up with clients and internal departments in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent client support
  • Liaise with internal teams to develop tactical, proactive solutions and partnership concepts and pricing
  • Coordinate, prepare, and support client media proposals for presentation generation
  • Assist with research for meetings and special projects as directed
  • Ensure that the sales team has the required sales materials and support information for sales calls and RFP responses
  • Aid in proactive outreach by monitoring our and other publications for assigned clients
  • Proactively seek additional revenue opportunities from new LOBs/new clients.

  • Deliver post-campaign insights and assist with renewal opportunities
  • Seek invoice orders and ensure internal teams have been adequately briefed to deliver media solutions
  • Work with Planning to monitor campaign materials post-sale from a high level to ensure campaign delivery
  • Work with Planning on campaign optimizations as needed to avoid under-delivery
  • Work closely with the planning team to ensure all screenshot decks are correctly completed
  • Monitor competition to identify market share and revenue growth areas

You Have:
  • 0-1 years experience in advertising sales support is required
  • Financial Services experience or understanding is advantageous
  • Proven high standards of client support and service
  • Articulate and intelligent, with strong writing and presentation skills
  • Effective communication, verbal and written
  • Candidates must possess initiative, be detail-oriented, and be able to work independently and within a team environment
  • Organized and focused on priorities that move the sales process forward
  • Creative thinker who can match marketers' goals with the unique, affluent audiences available through our media properties
  • College degree preferred
  • Attention to detail and strong written and communication skills
  • Proven ability to work well within a team environment while accomplishing individual projects
  • Strong proficiency with Google and Microsoft applications
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong familiarity with non-traditional media solutions, including custom content and conferences
  • Strong familiarity with traditional media, print, and digital media

Pay Range: $55,000 - $70,000
