Position Responsibilities and Expectations:



• Program/Operate CMM (PCDMIS) and other measuring equipment to dimensionally inspect and verify production and prototype parts and tooling.

• Complete inspection documentation/reports and report discrepancies to interested parties to ensure accuracy and compliance with quality and customer standards.

• Collaborate with other departments to assist with finding solutions to quality issues.

  • Train, instruct, and assist others as needed with gage usage.


• Operation of pneumatic tools, sanding disk, height gages, verniers, mics, calipers, drill presses and band saw.

• Maintain Gage Calibration tracking

• Perform calibrations, maintenance, repairs to gages

• Schedule and submit req's for outside services.

• Maintain all records to meet internal and IATF Standard.

• Basic use of problem-solving ideas (5 why, A3 Correction Actions, Troubleshooting, etc.) on continuous improvement projects.

• Assist in collection of gages as needed

Candidate Education, Training and Experience:

• Candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Some post-secondary education is required. Preference given to those in the engineering or technical fields.

• Foundry background and understanding a plus

• Prior use of Gagetracker or other gage calibration system a plus

• Basic knowledge of MiniTab preferred

• Demonstrated good communication and listening skills

• Excellent Attendance Record

• Computer experience required (Excel, Word, Powerpoint at a minimum)
