The Seasonal Beauty Advisor is key to delivering an outstanding experience to all guests of Ulta Beauty by interacting with each guest to understand their unique needs, processing cashier tasks, restocking fixtures with merchandise, maintaining overall cleanliness of the store, and carrying out tasks as assigned. This role emphasizes on performance (service/retail sales and store events), people (guest service), and processes (operational procedures and compliance standards). It necessitates a passion for the beauty industry, exceptional guest service skills, and the ability to educate on and communicate product knowledge.

The Seasonal Beauty Advisor enthusiastically supports Ulta Beauty's mission, vision, and values, reflecting them proficiently and consistently through the following duties and responsibilities of the role:

- Strive to meet or exceed the store's retail and service sales goals, guest loyalty targets (including credit card sales), multi-channel sales and shrinkage goals set by Ulta Beauty.

- Ensure excellent service by providing a welcoming environment, acknowledging and interacting with each guest, customizing service as per their needs, answering queries about products and services, informing them about promotions and discounts, and suggesting Ulta Beauty products and services that enhance their shopping experience.

- Handle customer service, sales, refunds, exchanges professionally, and assist with online orders.

- Perform makeup applications, skincare analyses, and product demos with guests to stimulate sales and enhance their experience.

- Take initiative to stay updated on new and existing products and services during work hours, and be knowledgeable about the ingredients and benefits of these products and services.

- Maintain a diverse environment that supports teammates, peers and guests.

- Emphasize the benefits of guest loyalty programs and Ulta Beauty apps.

- Collaborate with managers and peers across the store towards collective growth.

- Actively participate in ongoing training, including product category knowledge, for professional development and to drive sales performance.

- Understand and comply with Ulta Beauty's policies, procedures, and standards.

- Dress according to the Ulta Beauty dress code.

- Regularly replenish sales area, ensuring proper signage and testers' availability.

- Maintain cleanliness in all store areas including sales floor, restrooms, cash wrap, backroom, and break area.

- High school diploma preferred.

- Previous relevant work experience of 1 year (or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience) preferred.

- Strong passion for guest service and sales.

- Proficient in basic tech gadgets (e.g., Point of Sale system and Apple devices).

- Ability to form and maintain strong customer relationships.

- Ability to troubleshoot.

Additionally, be prepared to have a flexible schedule that includes days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

- Continuous mobility in the store during a shift.

- Frequent standing, bending, pulling, pushing, reaching, and twisting during shifts.

- Continuous and/or frequent lifting, carrying, and/or moving up to 25 lbs. during shifts.

- Constant coordination and manipulation of objects during shifts.
