Position Summary

- Housekeeping involves performing cleaning duties such as dusting and mopping floors in designated areas, sanitizing bathrooms, cleaning and sanitizing daily patient room furniture, sitting rooms, and dining room furniture. Responsible for trash removal and performing all other related duties as assigned.
- Safety activities include using protective gear in all suitable functions and safe, proper mixing and use of cleaning solutions adhering to all safety precautions. Reports equipment/cleaning product needs and malfunctions to the supervisor promptly. Meets established standards, safety, and quality guidelines. Follows infection control and universal precautions procedures to ensure a sanitary environment at all times.
- Punctuality involves consistent attendance, prompt arrival, and timely completion of assigned cleaning area according to the schedule. Responds to the paging system promptly and appropriately.
- Customer Experience involves positively representing HCSG by following instructions, being courteous, and cooperating with supervisors, co-workers, and client staff.
- Resident Experience includes positive, pleasant, and tactful interactions with residents, staff, and facility guests.

Qualifications

- Demonstrates a positive attitude and has the ability to follow oral and written directions and perform routine, repetitive tasks daily.
- After appropriate training, this role should be able to utilize leadership skills to complete all responsibilities independently and without injury to oneself or others.
- Preferably a holder of a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must comply with all COVID-19 Vaccination Policies, as required by State, Local, and/or Customers.
- Must consistently be at work as scheduled and on time.
- Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend and walk for extended periods. 
- Must be able to perform continuous, repetitive tasks.
- Must be able to work around food and cleaning products.
- Must reside in the service area.
