Our Offerings:

- Competitive salary initiating at $56k base, supplemented with guaranteed commission and sign-on bonus, resulting in a total remuneration of $83k.

Your Role:

Our Early Career Sales Engineering (BEST) Program is a 6-month development initiative in technical sales meant for new college graduates. This program is focused on developing market share through strategic selling of Johnson Controls’ HVAC products and services to commercial clients. You'll have the opportunity to leverage your technical engineering expertise and business sense in engaging with customers to gain a better understanding of their product and project needs by projecting yourself as the subject matter authority. Throughout the program, you'll be engaged in a 6-month training and development program melding classroom learning, field orientation, and practical job training. You'll become well-versed with our mechanical apparatus and service offerings, build customer relationship techniques, and refine your leadership skills to facilitate customer support within your assigned territory in tandem with the sales team. 

Your Responsibilities:

- Estimating job bids and preparing proposals in association with contractors, architects, and building owners.
- Liaising with vendors and subcontractors.
- Executing sales calls to bring in new business and foster existing relationships.
- Presenting solutions to customers for their consideration.
- Gathering and analyzing market data.
- Transferring projects to the operations team for implementation and installations.

Our Expectations:

Required:

- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (such as engineering, construction management, IT, etc.) with expected graduation in December 2024 and May/June 2025. The program begins on January 6, 2025, or June 9, 2025.
- Strong analytical capabilities for problem-solving and the ability to learn rapidly.
- Effectively manage multiple projects and cross-functional teams with minimal supervision.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
- U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency.

Preferred:

- Strongly preferring a Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Previous experiences in sales, engineering, or business via co-ops, internships, part-time, or full-time jobs.
