Your role:

Our Early Career Sales Engineering (BEST) Program, designed for Recent College Graduates, is a 6-month technical sales progression program centered on gaining market traction through strategic selling of Johnson Controls’ Fire products and services to commercial clients. You'll get a chance to utilize your engineering knowledge and business understanding in working with customers to comprehend their product and project necessities by being the subject matter expert. As part of the program, you'll engage in a 6-month training and development program combining classroom, field orientation, and practical training. You'll familiarize yourself with our mechanical apparatus and service offerings, customer relationship techniques and leadership skills in preparation for supporting customers in your territory in collaboration with the sales team. You'll also consult architects, engineers, and property owners on product selections; partner with and learn from internal experts and accomplish business goals. You'll play an integral role within a local sales team and a national network of sales professionals. #BEST

Your responsibilities:

- Estimate job bids and prepare proposals for contractors, architects, and property owners
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors
- Complete sales calls to create new business and build on established relationships
- Present solutions to customers for appraisal
- Collect and analyze market data
- Hand over projects to the operations team for execution and installations

Our expectations:

- Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree and set to graduate in December 2024 and May/June 2025. The program commences on January 13, 2025, or June 9, 2025
- Strong analytical aptitude, quick problem-solving skills, and the ability to learn swiftly
- Ability to manage multiple projects and cross-functional teams with minimum guidance
- Robust communication and teamwork skills
- U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency

Preferences:

- A Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is highly preferred
- Previous sales, engineering, or business experiences via co-ops, internships, part-time or full-time jobs
