Job Overview

The Management & Sales Training Program at Sherwin-Williams is a fast-paced, entry-level position targeted at grooming you for a Store Management role within 18-24 months. With Sherwin-Williams' policy of promotion from within, you are likely to ascend to an Assistant Store Manager role after successfully rounding off the initial eight-week training.

This role demands dedication, typically requiring a 44-hour work week, which may include evenings and weekends.

Throughout the program, you will team up with store management to oversee a business worth a million dollars, supplying leadership and insight into the development and strategy of the store. Through the program's course, you will gain a comprehensive understanding of all operations, clientele, and internal strategy, thereby recognizing the crucial role you play in the team's success. You will also expand the company's market share by selling our high-quality products in large quantities to significant commercial users such as painting contractors, purchasing agents, manufacturers, and others.

Job responsibilities involve interaction with customers, which may include minors, and access to cash, other payment methods, electronic equipment, personal information, store merchandise and other valuable items. Access to these may be supervised or unsupervised. Job Responsibilities:

- Complete training in line with the established program
- Support business strategies to enhance sales and optimize profitability
- Provide excellent service to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
- Build and maintain knowledge of all products to offer effective customer recommendations
- Form positive relationships with both wholesale and retail customers
- Handle store administration and ensure compliance with policies and procedures
- Maintain an excellent store condition and visual merchandising standards
- Back employee training, development, performance management, and corrective action
- Resolve any customer and/or employee complaints promptly
- Collaborate with Store Manager to make outside sales calls to expand market share

Minimum Requirements:

- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have valid and unrestricted Driver’s License
- Must have a minimum of a bachelor's degree
- Must be capable of retrieving materials from shelves and floor stacks and lifting up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs occasionally
- Preferred: At least one year's experience in a retail, sales, or customer service position, leadership experience, experience working in a team-oriented setting, previous work in selling paint and related products, willingness to relocate for future job opportunities, multilingual, including Spanish.
