Tact Staff is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Los Angeles, California.
**Minimum 3 years of Telemetry and Med Surg experience required**
**May float to other Med Surg and Tele units**

MUST BE AN ADT NUSRSE (Admission Discharge Transfer Nurse)!! NO EXCEPTIONS
MUST BE AN EXPERT IN MS/TELE AND SKILLS, MUST GO ABOVE AND BEYOND AND WILLING TO LEARN
Additional Requirement: Must be able to read strips
Must be able to work in Telemetry setting and will receive general medical surgical patients and moderate volume orthopedic surgical cases. Total joint ortho experience would be required
HARD REQUIREMENTS:
1. Experience level is med-surg and telemetry with a 1:5 nurse to patient med-surg ratio.
2. Years of experience are a minimum of 3 years in nursing.
3. References have level 4-5 ratings.
4. competencies must be consistent with medical-surgical and telemetry patient care needs and should be rated 3 or greater.

Interpretation of dysrhythmias
Management of dysrhythmias
Telemetry - on the unit monitoring
Telemetry - remote monitoring
Required Cardiovascular skills:
Post Cardiac Angiogram
Post MI
Pre/Post Cardiac Cath
Pre/Post Cardiac Surgery
Required IV Therapy/Phlebotomy Skills:
Blood Product Administration
Central line care/management
PICC line management
Starting IVs
Required Medication skills:
Heparin Protocols
Manage Cardiac drips- no titration
Manage Vasoactive drips-no titration
Required Respiratory/Thoracic Skills:
Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleuravac
External CPAP/BIPAP
High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)
Nasal Cannula
Non-invasive airway management
Oxygen face masks
Tracheostomy Management
RTO must be on the submittal
No RTO the first two weeks of an assignment
1 Holiday RTO must only be submitted but it is not guaranteed to be approved
Please Note: Once RTO is submitted, this cannot be changed unless it’s to cancel time requested - ensure that you have confirmed all dates needed off for the full 13 week contract
