Job Overview
The Systems Engineer position is responsible for analyzing, designing, implementing, administering, and maintaining IT infrastructure systems, including, but not limited to virtual systems, servers, storage, and backups. Additional responsibilities comprise of assisting other teams, including, but not limited to, Network, Security, Enterprise Applications, and Data Engineering. The System Engineer will participate in the technology selection of future hardware and software to upgrade existing IT infrastructure. The Systems Engineer is responsible for designing and implementing advanced IT infrastructure solutions that meet the business and technical requirements of the organization. This role involves creating detailed architectural models, establishing standards and best practices, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure alignment with business goals. The Systems Engineer will help lead the Systems Team in deploying and optimizing business IT systems.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in related field may be substituted with 5 additional years of experience in a related field. A master’s degree is preferred but not required. Minimum of 10 years of experience in system design and architecture, with a proven track record of successful system implementations required.
Certifications: Relevant industry certifications such as Microsoft, Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, VMware, Cisco, CompTIA, etc. are highly preferred.
