Job Overview
The Sr. Director, Development Operations position supports approximately 8-10 gift officers (including CEO, President of AltaMed Foundation and VP of Foundation Development), and is responsible for establishing and evolving processes for prospect development including moves management, pipeline development, prospect research, as well as data integrity and reporting standards. The Sr. Director serves as a key member of the Operations senior management team and is responsible for overseeing: prospect research; philanthropy systems and operations; philanthropy data governance and philanthropy gift management. The Sr. Director of Development Operations position will be a leader in the team and be a part of planning for the next comprehensive campaign. This role will guide the team in identifying and qualifying prospects for a nine (9)-figure Capital Campaign.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s Degree required.
2. Master’s Degree preferred in Humanities, Social Sciences, Business or related field.
3. Minimum of 10 years of proven prospect research, philanthropy operations financial management and data governance leadership and management experience required.
4. Successful record of creating effective donor pipelines, effective prospect management and managing fundraising data analytics, particularly in a health care context.
5. Experience using third-party prospect research tools, with preference for iWave, Lexis Nexis, and public records sites, including California Secretary of State, FEC and SEC), as well as news alerts (e.g. Google Alerts) to create and update prospect profiles and identify prospect candidates.
6. Experience and expertise in partnering with finance and account team to ensure AltaMed Foundation adheres to state and federal regulations (FASB and IRS), as well as industry standards related to gift processing.
Compensation
$205,670.40 - $257,088.00 annuallyCompensation Disclaimer
Actual salary offers are considered by various factors, including budget, experience, skills, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. The range is subject to change. AltaMed is committed to ensuring a fair and competitive compensation package that reflects the candidate's value and the role's strategic importance within the organization. This role may also qualify for discretionary bonuses or incentives.
