Ontic is a leading global aerospace OEM trusted by the world's aviation leaders. Specializing in precision engineering, MRO, and new solutions for parts at risk of obsolescence, Ontic has over 1,500 customers in the commercial, civil and defense aerospace markets. With over 1,300 employees across four time zones and seven sites, we have more than doubled in size since 2019 and are continuing to grow at pace.

Our team is looking for an MRO Buyer I to join them. You will report to the MRO Business Unit Director and will have a hybridwork structure in Chatsworth, CA.

To be considered for the MRO Buyer I opening, here's what you'll need to bring with you:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 4+ years of experience in procurement and planning
• Experience with tactical and strategic supplier development and networking
• ERP/MRP systems proficiency, including hands on understanding of supply and demand
• Microsoft Suite proficiency, including Word, Outlook, Excel
• Aerospace industry experience preferred

As an MRO Buyer II you will:

• Procure commodities such as major machined parts, castings, electronic components, and mechanical assemblies
• Oversee and implement obsolescence management strategies
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications
• Oversee program management of subcontracted assemblies and highly engineered technical products
• Manage Government/DOD related purchase orders and sub-contracts
• Extensive supplier oversight including DCMA delegation coordination and tracking
• Collaborate with various supply chain departments, including Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Planning, Customer Service, Quality, Purchasing and leadership

Salary Range:

• $65,000-90,000/yr based on experience
