Design Researcher

We’re looking for a freelance Design Researcher.

Must be available to work on-site in Irvine, CA.

In this project, our client wants to visualize the future of in-vehicle-connected digital experiences. The Design Researcher will partner with UX Designers who are creating a high-fidelity prototype based on our client’s concept. This will aid designers and engineers in understanding how drivers and passengers will interact with the vehicle’s technology,

• This person will lead, design, and conduct generative and evaluative research for products and experiences that blend physical and digital touchpoints.
• Collaborate in small, cross-functional teams and partner with stakeholders across the organization to deliver products and services that add value to customers and the business alike.
• Collaborate within the design research discipline to improve methods and implement best practices that lead to better customer, product, and business outcomes.
• Lead sessions between business, product and technology to understand the customer experience
• Execute quantitative and qualitative research (scoping, designing research strategy, interviews and surveys, data audits)
• Execute research delivering actionable and timely insights in the form of personas, journey maps and process flows.
• Promote human centered design principles, storytelling and insights wherever applicable within each project.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $50.00 to $70.00 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
