Assistant Manager - Deli

Job Introduction:

Responsibilities: 
In this position, you will assist in:

- Managing the deli department for optimal productivity and profit.
- Ordering and inventory management, ensuring product quality.
- Supervising the deli team, coordinating production, and merchandising.
- Delivering the highest level of service and finest quality of product.
- Hiring, training, and developing the deli team.
- Unloading and sorting through deliveries, operating and maintaining deli equipment.
- Ensuring the enforcement of all company health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.

Qualifications: 
You should:

- Be minimum 18 years of age with preferably 2 years supervisory experience in deli or related food service.
- Be dependable and flexible, able to work changing schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Have strong communication skills and good leadership abilities.
- Demonstrate an outgoing and friendly behavior, coupled with positive attitude.
- Have a working knowledge of personnel reports, margin reports, and familiarity with financial goals.
- Hold a Food Safety certification and ensure all regulations and standards are met.
- Have strong organization, planning, detail-focus, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Be able to lift/carry product weighing up to 70 lbs. and stand for up to 4 hours continuously.
- Be able to operate a slicer, wrapping and cooking equipment, maintaining it in a safe condition.
- Be prepared to perform other related duties as assigned.
