Ready to take on an exciting opportunity? G3 Boats/Yamaha in Lebanon, MO is seeking a motivated and results driven National Sales Manager. 

 

The National Sales Manager oversees all sales activities for achieving sales targets of all G3 products.  He / she executes dealer network strategies to significantly improve the sales and customer service capabilities of the dealers, improve the ability of the dealers to generate high levels of customer satisfaction, and increase the commitment of the dealers to G3. This position directs the activities of the G3 Field Sales team, as well as dealer development (e.g., training and network planning). The National Sales Manager works closely with the G3 management team and supporting groups to determine the priorities for regional managers. He/she will oversee the effective management of expenses associated with operating the Field Sales organization.

 

Essential Job Functions: (responsibilities, duties and standards of the position, including supervisory level and reporting relationship)

 

1. Sales Management

  • Work with the G3 management teams and other group managers to set and achieve sales targets.
  • Organize and operate sales meetings.
  • Develop and rationalize all sales-oriented programs.
  • Participate in planning dealer conventions as well as the development of sales-oriented content in the dealer manual. Set goals for and monitor dealer attendance at the annual dealer meeting.
  • Manage the attraction, retention, development, and motivation of the G3 field sales force.
  • Provides DM and dealer training.

2. Field Management

  • Monitor overall sales, market share and CSI target achievement in the regions.
  • Approve dealer improvement and development strategies.
  • Provide guidance on creating cross functional (i.e., units and parts and accessories) sales programs and incentives to achieve sales targets.
  • Monitor regional budget planning and spending for area marketing, TA programs, etc.

3. Training

  • Facilitate availability of training (e.g., sales, product, business, etc.) to ensure field and dealer development.
  • Plans periodic comprehensive training on competitor products, sales, and dealer strategies for DMs.
  • Approve training plan and monitor training participation by dealers (as applicable).

4. Dealer Development

  • Monitor the overall performance of the dealer network based on G3 business strategy.
  • Provide guidance for developing content (either in-house or outsourced) for dealer training and capability development.
  • Work closely with DMs to ensure highest standards in dealer recruitment and selection.
  • Approve any plans to fill open points and work closely with DMs to approve new dealers.
  • Help DMs obtain the appropriate product quantity and mix for their regions/territories.

5. Decision-Making Responsibility

  • Develop and manage performance for team of External and Internal Sales Representatives.
  • Create strategic advantage.
  • Create and implement strategic business plans.
  • Oversees dealer management.
  • Develop standards, goals, and incentive programs for G3 Sales Team.

Qualifications and Skills: (in terms of experience, education & training)

  • High School diploma required. BA / BS degree in Sales, Business Administration or equivalent field of study preferred.
  • 10+ years or more of experience in sales and dealer network management with direct budget responsibility required.
  • Superior record of sales experience in an industry employing dealer sales channels.
  • 5+ years of management experience and proven record of developing high-producing employees is required.
  • Knowledge of recreational products is highly desirable. 
  • Knowledge and experience with the Water Vehicle industry and products is highly desired.
  • Proficient in MS Office (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). 
  • Must possess strong oral, written and presentation skills. 
  • Must be an energetic self-starter.
  • Extensive travel is required.
