We are seeking a(an) Medical Technologist for our team to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. Did you get into our industry for these reasons? Under the direction of the Manager, Administrative Director and Medical Director, the medical technologist performs clinical testing in one or more of the following areas: blood bank, chemistry, serology, hematology, urinalysis, coagulation, special chemistry, microbiology and manual tests. The Technologist obtains or receives specimens, performs laboratory tests according to written procedures, understands methods and principles, performs and evaluates quality control on a daily basis and informs the Administrative Director or Manager of issues. The technologist performs preventative maintenance on laboratory instrumentation, interprets results as to their accuracy, acceptability and critical limits and organizes work to meet established deadlines and record all data obtained. The technologist is also responsible for instruction of MT and TLT students. Works actively and cooperative with nursing and other hospital staff to ensure timely patient care.

What qualifications you will need:
A Bachelor’s degree in one of the chemical, physical or biological sciences at an accredited college or university, have at least one year of additional full-time experience or training in the specialty or subspecialty in which he/she performs tests and pass a national examination for certification approved by the State Board.
