Job Details
Effective 11/30/24, IU Health will not allow IN RN’s to work at their facilities (SEE EXCEPTIONS BELOW). The last day for IN RNs to start a NEW contract is 9/9 (allows them to finish a contract by 11/30).
**Periop/OR RN’s, Allied and Ambulatory RN travelers are exempt from this rule. These IN travelers are allowed to work past the 11/30 deadline. Periop includes ENDO, IR RN, PACU, Cath Lab RN, SDS**
IU Health is now offering charge pay, which is a $3.00 bill rate bump per hour
Must be flexible with weekend requirements. Weekend requirement will be based on unit needs. Travelers must be able to work 50% of the weekends in their contract.
IU Health University and Methodist are teaching facilities and require all travel nurses to agree to the possibility of precepting and/or being assigned students to shadow them while on assignment. Please only submit candidates that are okay with these requirements.
Traveler must have IN/Compact license in hand or have submitted their fingerprint application package for their license to apply for this position.
Shift Requirements: 4x12 or 3x12
** Call-Ins: If a traveler call-ins for a contracted shift...
** Charge coverage: Pending operational needs, unit charge nurse responsibilities may be needed with provided training and resources.
Skillset Requirements: Minimum 2 Years Experience and IV Start
Skillset Preferences: Level 1 Trauma Experience and Telemetry
Floating Requirements: Unit travelers may be expected to float to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) with resources provided if needed at both University and Methodist Hospitals
Staffing Ratios: 1:5-6
Unit Information: GI/Liver Medical patients, ERCP, CAPD, Pre-transplant, Chronic Pancreatitis
