The role of our Assistant Eyeglass Managers is pivotal in overseeing the daily operations of our stores, including employee management and inventory control. Their contribution ensures our customers consistently receive a positive experience, while also keeping our associates satisfied.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee overall profit, sales, and performance targets (includes P&L review).
- Improve and supervise the eyeglass department to ensure efficiency and compliance with the company's policies and operational guidelines.
- Foster a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service and ensure all team members do the same.
- Uphold quality standards, review remakes, and enforce policies for compliance.
- Communicate with the General Manager, District Manager, and Corporate Office and provide necessary store reporting.
- Ensure store promotions, advertising, and visual merchandising are effective, and keep associates and doctors informed about current promotions.
- Supervise and motivate Opticians and CL Sales associates (or Receptionist in some stores) ensuring timely completion of day-to-day tasks.
- Assist the General Manager with forecasting staffing needs, recruiting, selecting and retaining a proficient team.
- Create an environment that motivates associates to exceed performance standards.

Qualifications:

Ideal Candidate:

- Experience in optical sales. Prior supervising experience is preferred.
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and build associate relationships.
- Solid grasp of store operations and success metrics.
- Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) for effective team management.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Strong organizational skills for effective work planning and continuous progress monitoring towards objectives.
- Competence in financial report analysis and understanding.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills of varied scope.
