Data Collection : Unit Information : ICU Location: HCA Houston Healthcare West Address: 12141 Richmond Ave., Houston, Texas 77082 Floor: 2 nd floor Building: Cardiac Tower General Information Tell us about the unit (s) : Number of Beds - 28 Number of Staff – 70+ Type of staff : All RN staff plus free charge and unit secretary Day Shift – 1 free charge nurse, 14 RNs and a unit secretary for full unit Night Shift – same as above Patient Ratios – 2-3:1 Type of equipment – hypothermia, CRRT, vents, pumps (IV and feeding) EMR - Meditech Typical hiring profile Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters) Must have : candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. ICU at least 2 years (acute) Need CV experience - recover open heart surgeries , post-CABG pts EKG competent Preferred or nice to have : candidates with these skills will be considered first. Cardiovascular surgical Neurovascular surgical List typical procedures performed on unit(s): CT insertion Intubation Central line insertions CRRT Dress Code : Include requirements, but most of all not acceptable attire. Scrub Color - Royal Blue No artificial nails, not visible tattoos, No hoodies, undershirts must be white or royal blue, Unit Guidelines/Policies : Please feel free to attach unit policies and guidelines . Shift starts at 6:45am/18:45am (must clock out for 30 min lunch) Report must be given at the bedside Awards/Recognition: Feel free to include items such as links to videos that feature the department, outstanding department/team awards, reigning annual chili cook-off winners, etc. 1 st in the Gulf Coast division for vent days Green scorecard for CAUTI and CLABSI bundles and CHG bathing. Any additional information that would entice a wor ker to select your unit for their assignment: Consider items such as new equipment or technology, tenure and experience of staff, schedule options, etc. * Remember it is a very competitive market any information you can provide will help attract talent .
