Summary: Handles the vehicle titling function ensuring the efficient use of company resources and technical capabilities to achieve targeted performance standards

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Handles the processing of vehicle titles in a timely manner and with precise accuracy whether it s to add a lien, change ownership, request a duplicate title or title corrections.
  • Follows-up on exposed titles according to established policies and procedures and escalates unresolved issues to management.
  • Researches vehicle title records for the Houston & Atlanta offices and resolves issues in a timely manner.
  • Understands and follows corresponding state title processing guidelines and requirements.
  • Assists with responding to various Title Dept. emails.
  • Assists with submitting the daily check request to Finance for the dept.
  • Assists with the follow-up of aged or problem accounts.
  • Responsible for calling DMV offices for advice, instructions, etc. for completing title paper work.
  • Knowledge of all Title Dept. processes including, dealer follow-up, releases, repossessions, and title maintenance
  • Assists with the handling of more difficult title matters and field questions from peers and other departments, including our Atlanta office and closed dealers for Marketing.
  • Assist inbound callers with title related issues or questions, may handles escalated calls and issues such as, but not limited to, titles sent to a borrower in error, releases of lien questions, dealer calls for any title related requests.
  • Performs administrative duties such as data entry, filing, copying and other duties associated with documentation.
  • Examines work for exactness, neatness and conformance with established policies and procedures.
  • Complies with all company policies and procedures.
  • This position involves regular access to specified personal information of consumers, including, but not limited to, Social Security numbers and dates of birth.

Education and/or Experience

The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma and/or GED. One year title tracking experience and knowledge of DMV documentation requirements, laws and regulations for motor vehicle titles is required.

Language Skills

The ability to read, write and comprehend complex instructions, correspondence, and memos.

Mathematical Skills

The ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability

The ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and possibly involved written or oral instructions.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel, Outlook and Word.

Other Skills and Abilities

Accuracy and attention to detail are imperative.
