We are seeking someone with a keen eye for detail, a strong commitment to owning their work, and providing superior quality. Someone in this role would typically have a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Degree and 3+ years of experience working with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 quality assurance programs.
This position may be filled at a higher or lower level than the one posted, depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate and needs of the business.

Duties & Responsibilities

SOME OF YOUR MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

• Reviews customer contracts, extracts applicable quality requirements and champions its execution through various design and fabrication process stages. Liaisons with internal and external customers, including vendors, to ensure compliance with quality assurance processes.
• Review mechanical or electrical engineering drawings for compliance related to customer specifications, configuration management, traceability rules, inspection capabilities, design requirements, and quality deliverables.
• Review work authorizing documents and nonconformance report dispositions to ensure compliance with AS9100 and internal company procedures. Applies Mandatory Inspection Points (MIPs) for steps that need secondary inspection verification.
• Audit and approve suppliers to Quality Management System requirements of AS9100 or ISO 9001 and ensure that the supplier can meet the technical specifications levied by Oceaneering & the customer. Creates and reviews vendor procurement documents like Statement of Work to ensure all requirements can be met, including inspection, testing, and other verification activities.
• Participate in customer-led milestone design reviews and present the status of quality assurance deliverables. Work closely with customer quality assurance personnel to ensure Oceaneering meets all customer expectations or has a plan for re-negotiated terms and deliverables. Responds actively and positively to all customer requests, including the government (DCMA).
• Serve as a member of the Material Review Board and assure appropriate disposition, cause, and corrective action on discrepancy reports and disposition records, as well as maintaining follow-up on open reject tags and discrepancy reports until they are satisfactorily closed.
• Facilitates corrective action board meetings, taking a leadership role to ensure root cause analysis is done thoroughly and corrective actions identified.
• Ensure that products delivered to the customer and associated documentation meet customer quality requirements and are delivered error-free and within schedule.
• Uphold OSS quality goals and perform metric trending for customer reporting and continuous improvement efforts within the quality organization as well as company-wide.
• Champions a continuous improvement mindset to improve Oceaneering processes for effectiveness.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Tool suite (i.e.: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Experience with root cause analysis tools and corrective action processes.
• Excellent work organization and communications skills, both writing & speaking, are required.
• U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident status required.

PREFERRED

• 3+ years of hands on QA experience in an ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 Quality Management System setting.
• Knowledge of NASA human space flight certification and approval processes desired.
• Experience with NASA workmanship standards (NASA-STD-8739.1, NASA-STD-8739.2, NASA-STD-8739.3 and NASA-STD-8739.4) and IPC workmanship standards (e.g IPC-J-STD-001) highly desirable.
• Exposure to inspection tools such as CMMs, FARO ARM, Height Gage, etc.

Additional Information

This position is Hybrid - Remote and will require commuting to a designated office. Hybrid work schedules are determined by the hiring manager based on business need.
