General Description: Are you a driven sales professional with a passion for the life sciences sector? As a Life Sciences Account Executive, you will be instrumental in generating revenue by prospecting, generating leads, qualifying opportunities, proposing solutions, forecasting, and closing sales. You will enhance the client experience by identifying their needs and offering tailored services, all while cultivating and protecting existing business relationships to increase market share.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Engagement: Utilize strong communication and relationship-building skills to meet with clients' architects, interior designers, and other consultants, influencing specifications and product/service selection.
  • Sales Development: Adopt a hunter mentality to identify new opportunities, grow and cross-sell within existing accounts, and identify potential clients through various sources, including prospect lists, leads, established customers, and referrals.
  • Representation: Represent our products and services to architects, interior designers, A&D firms, and other entities to influence specifications and product selection for our shared corporate clients.
  • Client Interviews: Interview potential and existing clients to determine furniture needs, budget, current inventory, and delivery timelines.
  • Expertise: Become an expert in public presentations, furniture product knowledge, and specifications to advise clients on furniture purchases.
  • Relationship Cultivation: Build and maintain relationships with key client contacts and influencers, aligning our products and services with their strategic vision and objectives.
  • Sales Administration: Create quotes and sales orders, prepare drawings for installation, and track sales data through order, delivery, installation, and billing cycles in collaboration with client and field services teams.
  • Business Planning: Develop and maintain a business plan for market share growth, establish metrics for your territory, and consistently meet or exceed quarterly and annual revenue quotas.
  • Account Strategies: Establish strategies to achieve sales targets, coordinate resources for sales execution, and penetrate specific target accounts.
  • Networking: Participate in professional networking activities to expand your reach and influence.

Key Selection and Success Factors:

Work Experience:

  • Minimum 3+ years of successful sales experience, preferably in a contract furniture dealership with a varied client base.
  • Minimum 3+ years of office furniture dealer experience.
  • Dealer design experience is a plus.

Education/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Other/Preferred:

  • Ability to work independently after the training period.
  • Proven organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate and negotiate effectively.
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of people and build long-term relationships with customers/partners at senior decision-making levels within an organization, as well as with internal team members.
