We're in search of either a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant eager to conduct medical assessments for U.S Veterans as a part of the Veteran Affairs' disability benefit procedure.

This role involves conducting Disability Assessments in which electronic medical records are reviewed through a web-based portal followed by concentrated in-person physical examinations of Veterans. The recorded findings from these examinations are documented electronically within the required parameters set by Veterans Affairs through the web portal. However, please note that the Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will NOT be charged with making disability determinations. This responsibility only lies with the U.S Veterans Administration.

This role is solely for carrying out Disability Assessments on Veterans, while direct treatment and prescribing medication are not part of the job responsibilities. The position typically involves conducting Disability Assessments for about 3-5 Veterans every day.

This is a full-time role, operating Monday-Friday (8am-5pm), and necessitates in-person interaction.

Ideal Candidate Traits:

- Interest in conducting Independent Medical Assessments.
- Capability to interpret data derived from medical records and examination results, to fill out questionnaires and form medical opinions.
- Excellent time management skills, with an ability to stay focused and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in using a computer.

Qualifications:

- Possession of an unencumbered, current Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (accredited by NCCPA) license.
- Applicant must meet the VA's credentialing requirements.

Benefits:

- Full-time compensation between $110,000 to $120,000.
- Paid leave.
- Health Insurance.
- Comprehensive training and continuous support.
- Provision of a computer.
- Average day involves assessments on 3 to 5 patients.

If you have a passion for serving the veteran community and prefer working a fixed schedule during standard business hours with no on-call responsibilities, this role would be a perfect fit. Please note, all work is performed within a clinical setting.
