Description:

POSITION SUMMARY:

Primarily responsible for the input, maintenance, and accuracy of the Configuration Management systems.

PRINCIPAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop & maintain configuration models based on paper order form, ENG spec sheets, engineering matrices, configuration No-Go’s, pricing, BOM structure. Testing models for go live to internal/external customers.
  • Develop the configured BOM for new products as the primary documentation that supports the construction of the Configurator.
  • Responsible for extensive ERP functions – Item Master/ Branch Plant, Bill of Materials and areas associated with Configuration Management.
  • Review and implement DCN’s.
  • Open/close part numbers, set up prompt features for Customer Service and Product Management.
  • Investigate and correct part number issues & qty’s for backflushing and BOM issues.
  • Responsible for maintaining systems ticket queue for associated department functions.
  • Investigate and resolve system related questions from Customer Service and Manufacturing in relation to configuration management.
  • Working closely with TJ, Nashville, Canada & Australia facilities as well as Fresno: IT, Customer Service, Product Management, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Purchasing and Finance.
  • Supporting Global Team Projects/Tasks.
  • Support the implementation of new systems and processes within the Configuration Management group.

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Information Systems or equivalent work experience required.
  • One to three years of related work experience in system analyst type environment preferred.
  • Manufacturing/IT background preferred.
  • Understanding of types of program language in regard to configuration management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs. Intermediate Excel skills required.
  • Demonstrated mathematic skills (Trigonometry or Geometry).
