The position of Roll-Off Driver encompasses effectively and safely providing waste disposal services to multiple business sectors. The CDL Driver will gather waste from various client locations and transport it to post-collection facilities for appropriate disposal.

Principal duties:

- Operation of roll-off truck and ancillary equipment for waste collection
- Completion of pre and post-trip safety checks, daily truck reports, route sheets, and other required documentation
- Reporting of any vehicle mechanical problems immediately to mechanic and supervisor
- Upholding route quality standards as set by management
- Safe utilization of truck and equipment to prevent driver-induced mechanical failures
- Strict adherence to all safety standards, equipment inspections and precautions during task execution

Additional responsibilities:

- Compliance with all regulatory and company safety and vehicle operation rules, as well as client-specific requirements
- Communicating potential hazard when serving/picking up containers to Supervisor/Lead before task execution
- Maintaining vehicle cleanliness, both interiors and exteriors
- Immediate reporting of any accidents or incidents to superiors
- Maintaining a professional demeanor and appearance always
- Wearing all necessary personal protective equipment
- Accurate record-keeping of services provided

Job may demand:

- Collaboration with supervisors to enhance operational efficiencies
- Participation in safety and branch meetings
- Fulfilling overtime responsibilities as necessary
- Execution of other duties as assigned by superiors

Qualification requirements:

- High school diploma or GED is desirable
- Valid commercial driver’s license
- At least one year of commercial driving experience or a CDL school certificate
- Meeting company criteria for safety-sensitive functionalities
- Demonstrable ability to safely operate the truck and equipment

Essential skills:

- Able to operate necessary vehicles or equipment
- Comprehensive written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
- Simple report writing and correspondence abilities 
- Easy comprehension of straightforward instructions and regulations
- Ability to carry out tasks with minimal supervision

Physical demands:

- Flexibility to sit, stand, walk, use hands, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, climb, balance, and smell
- Visual ability to accommodate close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and constant maneuvering of vehicle in high traffic areas
- Being comfortable with regularly lifting/moving up to 10 pounds, frequently lifting/moving up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lifting/moving up to 100 pounds
- Working chiefly in loud conditions

Working conditions:

- Frequently exposed to loud noise, extreme weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, vibrations, harmful chemicals, fumes, and airborne particles
- Consistent outdoor work
- Frequent work away from the branch
- Occasionally working in high, precarious areas
- Constantly dealing with motor vehicle traffic conditions
