About the Role
Sagemont Preparatory School is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Math Teacher to join our collaborative team in supporting our high school students. As a Math Teacher, you will guide students in mastering mathematics through engaging and innovative lessons. You will be responsible for creating an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that fosters academic growth and personal responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach Math courses, including Geometry, Algebra I, and Algebra II.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary approaches to math instruction.

  • Maintain an orderly, engaging classroom environment that is conducive to learning.

  • Submit weekly lesson plans to the Upper School Director.

  • Employ positive classroom management techniques, encouraging student responsibility.

  • Regularly monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and guidance.

  • Mentor students, promoting academic achievement and personal development.

  • Foster strong relationships with parents, proactively engaging them in their child’s education.

  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or a related field (Master’s preferred).

  • Minimum of 2+ years of teaching experience at the high school or college level.

  • Strong ability to present mathematical concepts with clarity and confidence.

  • Commitment to building supportive relationships with students both in and beyond the classroom.
