Qualifications

RS&H is seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our Transportation Practice in our Fort Lauderdale, FL office!

Job Summary: The position requires knowledges, skills, and abilities to perform the following tasks: preparing business documents; interfacing with RS&H support groups in legal, human resources, and business development; supporting activities of South Florida operations; performing transactional business activities; supporting monthly invoicing activities; assisting office associates with administrative assignments including preparing occasional client project deliverables and/ or marketing materials; managing the physical filing system in the office; scheduling meetings and set up and clean up for meetings; booking travel; ordering and managing office supplies; assisting with workspace setup for employees including computer equipment and other office equipment; maintaining company business records for South Florida offices; maintaining an inventory of office equipment and supplies; and assisting the Area Leader with communication and interactions with clients, suppliers, and property management contacts.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Willing and able to work in the office Monday – Friday between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
  • Must possess knowledge of administrative duties.
  • Must be able to coordinate complex projects and events.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite programs including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Teams; as well as Zoom and PDF reader and writer software.
  • Must possess exceptional oral and written communications skills, as well as attention to detail, and have strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Must have the ability to effectively interact with and build strong relationships with executives, clients, customers, contractors, associates, and other key stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to effectively manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
  • Experience with budget management and analysis.
  • Must work well both independently, and as part of a Team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate or bachelor degree.
  • Minimum of 2 years of business support experience in the engineering consulting industry with focus on Civil Engineering / Transportation.
  • Minimum of 2 years of business support experience serving public sector/government clients in Florida, such as FDOT or County government with associated duties in document control, invoicing, business reporting, contract management, and business development.
  • Working knowledge of Deltek Vision or other accounting software.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds

Special Requirements: A valid Florida driver’s license is required. A driver’s license records check, criminal history records check, and a fingerprint check are required. Successful candidates may be required to travel for meetings with clients and RS&H associates as needed.
