Job Role Overview:
As a cook, you'll prepare and serve food, including texture modified and therapeutic diets. You'll adhere to federal, state, and local standards and guidelines, and our established policies and procedures. You're also expected to assist in ensuring proper procedures for receiving, storing, preparing, serving, sanitation, and cleaning are observed. In the absence of the Dining Services Director, you’ll support Dietary Aide as needed and guide other employees with authorization. Your safety, punctuality, and approach towards customer and resident interactions are vital parts of your role.
Qualifications:
Aspirants should possess a positive attitude and the ability to follow oral and written instructions, along with the capacity to perform daily tasks. Leadership skills, a high school diploma or equivalent, and experience in food preparation would be advantageous. Compliance with relevant certifications and COVID-19 vaccination policies is necessary. You should be able to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, move a maximum of 50 pounds, and perform tasks around food and cleaning products.
