Job Summary

Our Employee Benefits Sales team is hiring a Sales Manager! In this position you will focus on office sales achievement through leading a team of talented group employee benefits sales representatives. You'll work collaboratively with the local service manager, ensuring a one team vision between sales and service team(s). This role is integral to the local and regional success of the Employee Benefits organization, reporting directly to the Regional Vice President of Sales.

* Considering candidates from the Detroit, Cleveland and Pittsburgh *

* Ability to travel 30-40% within territory as needed *

Skills and Background You’ll Need

  • Sales experience: 8-10 years of successful experience selling employee/group benefits.

  • People management experience: Prior experience managing employee benefits sales representatives OR experience in a senior level sales role with responsibility for coaching/mentoring/training other sales reps.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Licensing: Life and Disability insurance license required. If you don’t current possess these licenses, you must obtain them within 6 months of hire date.

  • Travel: Ability to travel 30-40% is a requirement of this position.

Please note - the salary range for this role is listed below. In addition to salary, our package includes incentive plan participation and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits, as well as an initial PTO accrual of 164 hours per year. Employees also receive 11 paid holidays and 2 wellness days per year.

  • Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program and plan. Any award depends on various factors, including individual and organizational performance.

  • Performance guarantees may be applied to roles with highly incentivized compensation plans for a specified period of time, to support a new hire’s transition into the sales incentive plan.

Salary Range:

$250k - $350k which includes a base salary, commission & guarantee
