Description:

The PLAN Peer Support Specialist offers a unique, professional opportunity to work with individuals diagnosed with severe and persistent mental illness in a Clubhouse Work-Ordered Day program. People Living Active Now (PLAN) in Dallas is an accredited Clubhouse organization offering this excellent opportunity to assist members with coordinating their benefits, navigating Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, etc. and accessing other programs, as needed.   This position is ideal for you if you have experience and are eager to give back to the community.

Qualifications:

This is full time position, offering an excellent benefits package to include a very generous Paid Time Off policy.

1. Have at least a High School Diploma or GED,
2. Are a Texas certified MHPS (Mental Health Peer Specialist)
3. Are willing to disclose your own mental illness diagnosis for the purpose of educating, role modeling and providing hope to others about the reality of recovery and,
4. Have at least 1 year of experience working on recovery and you are able to manage your own wellness.
