Responsibilities of a CDL Diesel Technician include:

- Inspecting vehicles to gauge the level of damage or defects
- Performing brake repairs, replacements, realignments, and adjustment 
- Discussing work orders and tasks with supervisors
- Following predefined checklists to examine all vital components and other potentially problematic areas
- Utilizing charts, technical manuals, and prior experience to plan work processes
- Interacting with drivers to obtain specifics of vehicle issues
- Performing routine maintenance and scheduled service tasks
- Repairing both manual and automatic transmissions
- Replacing and adjusting headlights
- Adhering to all safety, DOT, and OSHA regulations
- Abiding by all company policy and procedures 
- Ensuring shop and surrounding areas are clean and tidy

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent 
- Minimum of 1 year recent diesel maintenance experience dealing with medium/heavy vehicles
- Must provide own hand tools
- Basic understanding of computer systems 
- CDL license prefered
- A valid driving license along with a verified work history 
- Ability to work in high and low-temperature environments
