  • Deliver clean, functional code that meets business requirements and enhances overall system performance.

  • Ingest and integrate data from various sources, including flat files, streaming systems, and RESTful APIs.

  • Collaborate with business leaders to translate business requirements into clear and actionable functional specifications.

  • Design and engineer scalable, reliable, and efficient systems to manage and process large volumes of data.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineers, QA, Scrum Masters, and Product Managers, to deliver quality solutions.

  • Stay current with emerging technologies and adapt to a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Data Engineering or similar roles.

  • Proven ability to complete projects on time with clear milestones and measurable progress.

  • Advanced skills in T-SQL and ANSI SQL with strong advocacy for data quality practices.

  • Proficiency in Python or Scala, with a passion for writing clean, maintainable code.

  • Experience with SSIS and/or Azure Data Factory (ADF) for ETL processes.

  • Demonstrated experience in data engineering, focusing on Snowflake and Python.

  • Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals including data structures, asynchronous programming patterns, and object-oriented design principles.

  • Strong proficiency in at least one popular programming language (e.g., .NET or Java) and SQL constructs.

  • Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.

  • Familiarity with cloud-based systems, such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.

  • Experience with queuing technologies (e.g., Kafka, SNS, RabbitMQ).

  • Awareness of logging, monitoring, and alerting tools to ensure system robustness.

  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and a high-level understanding of deployment tasks and technologies (CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, Terraform).

  • Some exposure to DBT (Data Build Tool) preferred.

The base salary hiring range for this position is $92,300 to $160,800. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, and benefits.
