Area Lead Nurse (185 Days) School Year 2024-2025


DESCRIPTION:* Explain, demonstrate, and guide new staff to independently perform essential nursing objectives and tasks as outlined in the School Nurse Clinical Development Program, department procedures and board policy.* Guide the performance and professional growth of new staff by mentoring best practices, serving as a role model, providing leadership and demonstrating a commitment to excellence.* Utilize clinical competency skill checklist to communicate expectations regarding performance, policy and department procedures.* Complete and submit visit documentation to provide job specific feedback and identify any areas of improvement.* Support the work of campuses to provide health services in the absence of the assigned nurse.* Serve a a certified instructor for CPR/AED courses and Texas Department of State Health Services certified trainer in vision and hearing screening.* Performs all other tasks and duties as assigned.Salary commensurate with education and experienceSelected individuals for Dallas Independent School District positions will be placed according to compensation guidelines.
