Job Title: Correctional PCU RN Nurse
Location: Locked corrections unit, including oncology and non-oncology patient population. Will work closely with Corrections Officers.
Skillset: MS/Tele RNs
Float: Yes, to other tower units and will take MS patients there

Patient Diagnoses:
• Oncology diagnoses including solid tumors, blood cancers, post-op care
• Oncology workup or history of cancer with no active treatment plan
• Other conditions like COPD, CHF, tumor lysis, DIC, Sepsis, chemo administration, neutropenic fevers, etc.
Certifications Required: BLS
Work Settings: Med/Surg, Telemetry
Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency Response:
• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Telemetry monitoring
• Use of Rapid Response Teams
Endocrine/Metabolic:
• IV insulin protocols
IV Therapy/Phlebotomy:
• Blood Product Administration
• Central line blood draw
• Peripheral Line Care/Management
• Phlebotomy
• PICC line management
• Starting IVs
Medications:
• Heparin
• PCA
Respiratory:
• High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)
• Nasal Cannula
• Non-invasive airway management
• Oral suctioning
• Portable Oxygen tank
Professional Knowledge and Skills:
• Isolation Precautions

Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30)
Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)
