Special Procedures/Unit Details: Medical Oncology with progressive care beds, Pediatric patients, NIH protocols.
Special Equipment: B450 monitors GE telemetry system, Bladder Scanner, Alaris pumps, Stryker beds.
Job Requirements
2 years of oncology experience preferred.
Certifications: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).
Ratio: 1:4.
Required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity.
Previous travel experience preferred.
Skills Required: Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Accessing ports, Arterial line management, Blood product administration, Central line care/management, PICC line management, IV start, Assist with chest tube insertion/removal, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs).
Schedule Information
No set schedule, no set weekends, no block schedule.
Facility determines the complete schedule, with the possibility of working every weekend. Must be flexible.
Maximum 7 straight days off.
14-week contract required if taking 7 days off.
Unit Specific Information
Unit Information: Medical Oncology with progressive care beds/pediatric patients.
High acuity of PCU and ICU.
May float to Med/Surg.

Orientation and Training: First week dayshift orientation, Second week 36 hours of on-unit orientation with a preceptor.
