Job Details
- Staffing Ratios - Goal is 1:4, but can be 1:5
- Weekends - variable based on unit needs
- No set/blocked scheduling as that is not something we offer our permanent staff
- Self-schedule requests - you will enter your schedule requests so we can see your preferred schedule before balancing and posting the final schedule
- First week of orientation is Mon - Fri dayshift. Second week is 36hrs of on-unit orientation with a preceptor
- 2 Years of Experience Required
- Patient Age group: Adults, Geriatrics
- Patient Diagnoses: Surgical Oncology: breast, thyroid, melanoma; Hepatobiliary: liver, pancreas, spleen, biliary tract cancers, neuroendocrine; Colorectal: colon, rectal cancer; Plastics: reconstructive breast cancer or sarcoma
- Special Procedures/Unit Details: Chemotherapy, Blood transfusions, IV Antibiotics, Oncologic emergencies, cytokine release syndrome, Insulin drips, Heparin drips, Heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient falls
- COMPUTERIZED CHARTING: EPIC
Job Requirements
- 2 Years of Experience Required in nursing
- Experience with patient age groups: Adults, Geriatrics
- Proficient in diagnostics and procedures: Surgical oncology, hepatobiliary, colorectal, and plastics procedures
Schedule Information
- Variable weekends based on unit needs
- Self-schedule requests available
- First two weeks include day shifts for orientation, followed by on-unit orientation with a preceptor
Additional Details

- AHA only (Instructor/Provider and RQI acceptable). Letter of completion not acceptable.
- *Travelers can renew ACLS, BLS, and PALS at the facility. Please reach out to Lead for instructions.
- Required for ER and all Critical Care RNs (ICU, MICU, SICU, Neuro ICU, CVICU, and Critical Care Float)
- Unit-Specific Competency Exam Required
