    Job Details
  • Title: Training Into Oncology
  • Minimum 12 months of experience in medical-surgical (MS), medical-surgical/telemetry (MS/Tele), or oncology preferred
  • Familiarity with Pyxis medication system required
  • Proficiency in EPIC charting system preferred
  • Chemo certification assistance provided
  • Growth opportunities in oncology nursing
  • Nurse-to-patient ratios adjusted based on acuity
  • Flexibility to float to different units within same specialty
  • Regular work schedule of 36 to 40 shifts per week during orientation, then 36 shifts afterward
  • Rotating day and night shifts every 4 weeks
  • Mandatory availability for alternating weekend shifts
  • Dedication to full contract term, upskilling, and oncology knowledge expansion
  • Willingness to obtain chemo competency
  • Access to resources for ONS Chemo certification course
  • MS/TELE experience required
  • Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias
  • Knowledge of Rapid Response Teams
  • Competency in gastrointestinal care
  • Proficient in feeding tube care, IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, peripheral line care, and IV starts
    Job Requirements
  • First-time travelers considered
  • Certifications: BCLS, ACLS
  • Previous oncology experience preferred but not required
  • 1 year of RN experience in MS, MS/Tele required; no oncology experience necessary
    Schedule Information
  • Regular work schedule of 36 to 40 shifts per week during orientation, then 36 shifts afterward
