Job Summary:

The ideal candidate is responsible for preparation of GA Drawings as well as detailed design drawings (2D & 3D) for various equipment. This includes performing preparation of all necessary BOM and other related documentation. Interaction with the multi-disciplined engineering and design project team, utilization of applicable technical company standards and company software, i.e. CAD 2D/3D, and MS Office software. Preparation of Equipment Arrangement Drawings for systems.
Job Duties:

Responsibilities:
  • Mechanical design of process equipment with 2D/3D CAD Systems (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) in accordance with EDG and client specific design standards
  • Preparation of general assembly drawings in accordance with EDG and client specific drafting/design standards
  • Preparation of detailed design drawings including preparation of related bills of material, enter BOM
  • Cooperation with multi-disciplined engineering and design/drafting team
  • Preparation of Equipment Layout Drawings for systems/plants
  • Preparation of electrical documentation as a support to electrical and instrumentation deliverables creation
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):
  • Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering (or closely related disciple) or appropriate course work toward a BS in Mechanical Engineering (or closely related discipline) required;
  • Appropriate certification in related drafting software may be considered in lieu of education requirement
  • Seven (7) years' experience applicable experience required
  • Expertise in mechanical design of process equipment
  • Experienced and enthusiastic CAD user in 2D and 3D (AutoCad / SolidWorks)
  • Experience in MS Office (Word, Excel)
  • Fluent in English language
  • Focused on cost, quality, efficiency within design of equipment
  • Experience related to facility layouts and facility utility placement as it relates to the process being supported
  • Prefer to have some experience with Electrical schematics, Piping and Instrument Diagrams.
  • Opened minded for complex design engineering challenges and changed requirements.
  • Structured and professional working skills
  • Ability to work under time pressure

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills required.
  • Comply with and support all aspects of the company´s and client's quality management program.

Working Conditions:
· Interaction with other team members, as well as supervisors and client personnel;

· May be required to travel out of town on a periodic basis to obtain project field data or attend project meetings;

· Field duties may require outdoor work in a plant, facility or terminal environment;

· Working in plant and/or shop areas around production machinery with extreme noise levels;

· Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection;

· May be at more than one job site in a day and must be able to tolerate climate changes.
Physical Requirements:
· Must be able to lift and carry twenty (20) pounds;

· Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing or other communication capabilities, with or without reasonable accommodation, which permits employee to communicate effectively;

· Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time with or without reasonable accommodation;
