Under the supervision of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) is responsible for complete residual history and physicals (most completed by NP’s and PA’s) as well as other necessary medical examinations. Assist with any other appropriate medical duties at any Maryhaven location, including MASC, Regional Offices and Women’s Program. Apply medication assisted treatment as defined by Maryhaven protocols and in consultation with the Chief Medical Officer. Participate in on-call rotation (as a backup to NP’s and PA’s) and oversight of NP’s and PA’s, in addition to holding appropriate collaborative agreements.

Physician Requirements

  • Medical degree, current medical license to practice medicine in the State of Ohio, at least seven (7) years of practice as a licensed physician; including five (5) years experience with addiction medicine and/or psychiatry.
  • Unencumbered license as a physician in the State of Ohio, MD/DO.
  • Willing to place DEA license with Maryhaven at site(s) it may be needed.
  • This is a contract position: can work up to 25 hours a week.
