In the role of our Life Enrichment Manager at Sunrise, your primary focus will be to create meaningful daily routines for residents through our personalized Life Skills program. These are tasks that residents formerly enjoyed and presently offer a sense of accomplishment, significance, and purpose. Your responsibility will be to design these Life Skills based on each resident’s past interests and provide appropriate encouragement, assistance, and inspiration.

Responsibilities

Your tasks will include:

- Assessing resident's interest and participation in Life Skills.
- Creating Life Skills that are tailored to each resident's needs and abilities.
- Engaging residents in Life Skills activities throughout the day and evening.
- Maintaining an inventory of Life Skills programming supplies.
- If applicable, assisting residents with daily care of any animals and/or plants as part of the Life Skills program and services. 

Qualifications

Ideal candidates will possess:

- One year of experience with memory-impaired seniors.
- High School diploma/GED. Depending on state regulations, certification(s) may be required.
- Ability to encourage, motivate residents and adapt Life Skills to suit the cognitive and functional abilities of each resident.
- Skill to inspire and motivate volunteers and colleagues to engage residents in purposeful activities throughout the day and evening.
- Capacity to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in written and verbal communication skills.
- Organizational and time management skills.
- Demonstrable good judgment in problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to make responsible choices and actions in the resident's best interest.
- Capacity to work semi-independently without direct supervision by understanding and following community procedures and guidelines and accomplishing assigned tasks.
- Basic proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office, with a willingness to learn new applications.
