Clinical Court Liaison Job Description

Under the direction of the Site Supervisor and/or Clinical Supervisor in the Opioid Treatment (OTP) department, The Clinical Court Liaison will be responsible for substance use and mental health counseling, case management, and treatment planning for clients who have been referred to Maryhaven for treatment. The Clinical Court Liaison will assist with administrative coordination of programming and coordinates treatment services with court referred clients, court contacts, and other Maryhaven programs. Attends treatment hearings for court regularly and when necessary. Acts as Addiction Treatment Program (ATP) clinical court liaison. Maintains a caseload of clients receiving medication assisted treatment while providing individual and group counseling services. Completes assessments, screenings, and documentation in a timely manner while making referrals for assessed needs and appropriate level of care. The Clinical Court Liaison will assist in the OTP clinic as needed to assist with client check-in, observe urinalysis screens and promote a therapeutic environment. Works with other clinicians and medical staff on the team to address client needs and promote treatment goals.

Clinical Court Liaison Requirements

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in human service or behavioral science with one (1) year of experience in the field of chemical dependence or mental health treatment.
  • LCDC II, LCDC III, LPC, LSW, LISW or comparable license or certification with one (1) year of paid full-time experience in the field of chemical dependency or mental health treatment or equivalent preferred.
  • CDCA, with 1 year of experience in the field of chemical dependency treatment may apply.
