As the Quality Assurance Lab Supervisor, you will manage the Ecoat quality lab and serve as the main contact for all QC Lab certification audits (IATF 16949, ISO9001). You will also oversee quality processes on the production floor and in the QC lab. You will work onsite in Cleveland, OH reporting to a Production Superintendent.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Final approval and CoA for customer batches out of PCL
  • Recertification testing of customer batches upon request
  • Management of QIM6 and data input including charting of product spec trends and KPC and training for QIM6 for new employees
  • Management of Verifications and Calibrations for the lab
  • Purchase and qualification of all new testing equipment for the lab
  • Stocking of lab consumables from MRO
  • Inventory management of all lab stock resin/paste for QA testing needs
  • Root cause analysis of SSPL batches, work off disposition testing and approval
  • Lead FLC testing for all new customers/products including spec testing and qualification on new products/tech
  • Lead Scale up testing for new products
  • Management of Verifications and Calibrations for the lab
  • Hiring/training of new technicians
  • Integrate industrial codes into QCTool for COA generation for all industrial customers
  • Management of SSPL tracking and reduction plan


Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required; higher education degree preferred
  • 5+ years of laboratory experience to include 2-3 years of management experience within a manufacturing environment; coatings or batch process preferred
  • Must be available on off-shifts, including weekends, for training, coaching, and covering vacations, leave, or to fill in gaps
