Job Role

Core Functions

- Directs, oversees, and achieves profit and performance targets, keeping in line with National Vision's standards
- Controls operating costs, budgets, and resources
- Enhances the eyeglass department's efficiency by ensuring compliance with operational guidelines and company policies
- Identifies potential areas for improvement and chalking out an associated action plan
- Demonstrates a commitment towards extraordinary customer service and ensures the team follows suit
- Upholds quality standards
- Implements effective merchandising, marketing, pricing promotions, and initiatives in accordance with the Brand and Company standards
- Oversees and motivates Opticians and CL Sales associates (and receptionists in select stores)
- Assists the General Manager with staff forecast, recruitment, retention, and high caliber staff selection
- Guides associates towards achieving sales and customer service goals
- Coaches potential Apprentice Opticians, adhering to statutory regulations

Skill set requirements

- Possession of an Optical license as per state requirements
- Previous selling experience in the Optical industry; Supervisory experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability to motivate team members, guide and build relationships
- Clear understanding of store operations and success standards
- Excellent oral and written communication skills for effective team management
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Strong organizational acumen for planning tasks and constant progress tracking towards goals
- Ability to comprehend, create and understand financial reports
- Track record of analyzing and solving a wide range of problems
- ABO and NCLE Certified
