Division Overview: The Adult Criminal Justice and Treatment Services (ACJS) supports clients who may have struggles related to a substance use disorder. We provide opportunities for clients to rebuild their lives so they can become healthy and self-sufficient. ACJS' work includes screening and assessments for substance use disorders, placing clients into treatment programs, monitoring and reporting on progress, and providing support including, but not limited

to, insurance enrollment, obtaining a state ID, and finding employment resources.

We are currently looking for full-time – Supervisor

Starting at $45,000 – contingent upon experience, education, etc.


Position Summary: The Supervisor will manage the day-to-day operations of the Illinois Intramuscular Naloxone Hub (IMNH), a web-based, e-commerce platform through which eligible organizations and individuals can order harm reduction supplies. The IMNH Supervisor will be responsible for supply chain management including purchasing, inventory, operations, logistics, order fulfillment, resource management and information workflow. The Supervisor will also be responsible for managing a team of 4 Regional Outreach Workers (ROW) located in TASC offices throughout the state. ROWs are responsible for processing, preparing, and shipping online orders and engaging community stakeholders to educate them on services provided by the IMNH, and attending community events as a representative of TASC and the program. The Supervisor will work with the Administrator to compile data for reports.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct supervision for four regional outreach workers located in offices in the northern, central, and southern Illinois regions. This includes training, performance management, and oversight of daily activities.
  • Participate in bimonthly project status meetings with assigned Administrator, outreach workers, and technical assistance provider.
  • Work as part of an interagency team to develop a Distribution Plan which includes: the expected demand, by county, for the kits; a preliminary list of organizations qualified to request kits in bulk, including OEND programs, SSPs, and other harm reduction coalitions and organizations; required local or regional variations in kit composition; counties or regions for which direct distribution to individuals will be necessary due to lack of existing harm reduction resources; processes for verifying that organizations requesting kits meet all state requirements for re-distributing the kits; processes for collecting demographic information about end-users of kits; storage, shipping, and recordkeeping procedures; cultural and language barriers to the receipt and use of the kits and how they will be addressed; and methods for conducting outreach and ensuring equitable and culturally responsive distribution practices. The distribution plan shall be monitored and updated throughout the period of performance.
  • The supervisor shall monitor and support the performance of the distribution hub.
  • In collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, the Supervisor will develop and host TTA materials on the following topics: requesting kits; use of kit materials; best practices in distributing kits; and ways to obtain support.
  • The Supervisor will verify that all requests for assistance, through the website, shall receive a reply within two business days.
  • Direct, plans and coordinates the work of staff, including supervision, evaluation, training, and team building within assigned program
  • Establish work schedules for assigned staff and provide direct coverage when necessary
  • Serves as direct liaison to the Administrator for program related needs and operational issues
Requirements:

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferably in social work, psychology, criminal justice, or related field required
  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university preferably in social work, psychology, criminal justice, or related field may be required based on contractual obligations
  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience in the human service field
  • Minimum of 2 - 3 years of management experience
  • Individuals with criminal records and other lived experience are encouraged to apply and able to obtain security clearance
  • CADC certification within two years of employment with TASC may be required based on contractual obligations
  • Considerable knowledge of the current ASAM placement criteria, DSM-V as it relates to substance-related disorders, and Code of Ethics for substance abuse professionals, or the ability to acquire the knowledge.
  • Knowledge of trauma informed care models of service
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively work as a part of a professional team

The agency currently offers hybrid work schedules that combines in-office and remote work. Employees are required to report to the work site three days per week with the option to work up to two days remotely.
