Overview:

Senior Installation Technician

This is no desk job. As a CSC Sr Installer your days will be active, delivering and installing commercial laundry and/or air vending equipment to a variety of places around town. You’ll have a constant change of scenery, engage with clients and consumers daily, and learn new technology in an environment that supports your success in both your career and life.

A Day in the Life of a Sr Installation Technician:

• Deliver and Install laundry or air equipment to customer's homes and client locations
• Deliver and Install ancillary technology (card readers, digital enhancements)
• Drive a box truck to deliver, pick up, or repair/replace washers, dryers and/or air machines
• Prepare equipment for delivery (assemble required parts prior to loading on trucks)
• Instruct customers and/or clients how to operate equipment in a safe and effective manner
• Staying physically active loading and unloading your company truck using a 2-wheeled hand cart for support, ease and safety.

• Sr Installer will proactively manage inventory. Execute regular parts replenishment based on guidelines and knowledge of route.

What we’re looking for:

Required Education & Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent; or 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Strong mechanical aptitude; technical experience, such as with washers/dryers, is a plus -- experience with electrical, plumbing, gas fitting and venting would be ideal.
• Knowledge of and experience with liquid propane and natural gas preferred.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Maintain a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to obtain a Motor Carrier Medical Examiner's Certificate.
• Efficient record keeping skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a busy warehouse and delivery environment.
• Experience with large power tools preferred.
• Experience with Installing large appliances preferred.
• Experience with fork lift operation - certification preferred.
• Confident to work on own with proper support.
• Follows through to ensure issues are addressed.
• Team player.
• Knowledge of routing applications.
• Effective oral and written communications.
• Ability to read, interpret and understand documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees.
• Computer, smart phone and tablet skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Specific physical demands may vary based on assigned geography and equipment.
• Must be able to lift up to 35-100 pounds and frequently work in a variety of environmental conditions (both weather and non-weather related).
• Push and pull hand carts loaded with washers and/or dryers and/or air machines.
• Ability to walk numerous levels of stairs.
• Ability to drive long distances as needed.
• Ability to maneuver in restrictive areas; often squatting, kneeling, crawling and reaching overhead, while lifting, holding and maneuvering tools or service parts weighing from 20-50 pounds.
