Job Overview:
As an Auto Body Technician, your main responsibility is to provide an extraordinary customer experience. You will do this by meticulously assessing and restoring each customer's vehicle to its pre-accident condition. The technician disassembles, repairs, and reassembles each vehicle, contributing significantly to our brand promise of speed, quality, and customer excellence. You will work harmoniously with team members to achieve the repair facility's key performance indicators and commit to being a dedicated Brand Ambassador of The Boyd Group at all times.

Key Responsibilities

    - Implement WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan consistently.
    - Plan the necessary repair work and present cost estimates to customers. Use a variety of tools, including cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers to rectify vehicle sections.
    - Hammer out dents and other slight body damage, use filler resins for dent repairs when other strategies are unfeasible.
    - Rectify structural damage by realigning car chassis and frames.
    - Replace or repair damaged vehicle sections with new or aftermarket parts. Replace or repair glass and windshields as required.
    - As necessary, replace or repair interior parts.
    - Weld and fit parts into place. Prepare and repaint vehicles with factory-specified paint or an agreed-upon equivalent.
    - Strive to complete work orders within labor time guidelines. After repair, carry out vehicle inspection to ensure all work has been done appropriately. 
    - Conduct other related duties as assigned. 

Requirements for Education and/or Experience

    - High school diploma or equivalent.
    - Successful completion of a technical school program OR a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer.  

Required Skills/Abilities 

    - Capability to read job orders and work with minimal oversight.
    - Capacity to collaborate with other repairers within an auto body shop. 
    - Comprehensive understanding of techniques and procedures for repairing vehicle bodies.
    - Proficiency in tool usage required for the trade.

Other Requirements

    - Ability to work safely in a noisy and odorous environment.
    - Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
    - Ability to visually inspect vehicle damage under various weather conditions.
    - Capacity to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat for repairs and inspections.
