At Sunrise, our Housekeeper role involves carrying out housekeeping and laundry tasks to foster a safe, welcoming, and comfortable environment for residents, families, and our team. You will meet and surpass Sunrise's standards of high-quality service.

Responsibilities

Key Duties:
- Carry out general housekeeping tasks in resident suites, communal spaces, and auxiliary areas as assigned, reaching or surpassing Sunrise's quality standards.
- Handle the gathering, cleaning, and redistribution of community laundry.
- Aid Care Managers and Department Coordinators when required with resident care.
- Collaborate with the community team to ensure compliance with OSHA guidelines, along with promoting Risk Management programs and policies, including compliance with safety rules and regulations.
- Follow safety protocols at all times, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), fire extinguishers, MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets), and Lockout Tagout procedures.
- You may be exposed to blood and/or body fluids with potential exposure to hazardous materials and infectious diseases.
- Be an active team member and commit to achieving team objectives.

Qualifications
- High School diploma / GED is desirable.
- Capable of delivering housekeeping and laundry services that focus on residents and that meet or exceed Sunrise’s quality standards.
- A desire to work with the elderly.
- Can manage multiple priorities.
- Possesses competent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrates good organizational and time management skills.
- Shows good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Can work with semi-independence and without constant supervision by following all community procedures and guidelines, completing assigned tasks, and showing initiative.
- Is capable of performing tasks amidst frequent disruptions.
- All Sunrise team members who drive a Sunrise vehicle must read, understand, and sign the Driver job description to understand the essential safety and regulatory duties.
