The right candidate will have 2+ years of current tele experience (including Neuro experience).
Travelers could also float to sister facility, Mercy Gilbert, if needed.
Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Neuro post surgical, post cranis, spine, CVAs post TPA.
There is also a pass/fail Sim Lab on Day 1 of orientation (study guides will be provided with the first day instructions).
Job Requirements
Minimum 2 years of experience - must be recent, within the past 6 months.
Travelers must pass a dysrhythmia exam upon offer with 2 max attempts.
Schedule Information
Floor specific orientation: 2 days on the floor.
Shifts: 12 hr shifts. 7-7.
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend.

Unit: D4 Neuro
# beds: 28 beds
Certs: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
Ratios: 1:3-4
Charge Nurse: Yes, no patient assignment. Also, have a Clinical Supervisor in a management role.
Techs: PCTs - 1 per every 16 patients.
Scrub Color: Navy
Tele: Centralized tele. RNs must be able to interpret EKGs.
Vents: No
Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Hospitalist rounds during the day and on call at night.
IV Team: No
RT 24/7: Yes
Pharmacy 24/7: Yes
Additional Notes: No ICP monitoring; first to float, could float to sister facility, Mercy Gilbert.
